Who are we?

Gadus is a Belgian fish processing company, founded in December 1989. Since its inception, the company has focused on providing service, quality and flexibility to the retail market. The company has a distribution channel that extends throughout the entire country.

In July 2017, Gadus was acquired by Steinasalir, a group that includes established Icelandic fishing companies, fish producers, private funds and private investors.
Being in the hands of one of the main suppliers that holds a significant part of Iceland's cod quota has helped Icelandic Gadus to grow. This, of course, results in a more qualitative and stable supply for our customers.

The fast-growing consumer market requires an active cooperation between all parties. Thanks to our close relationship with our customers, our insight into their needs and wishes and our decades of experience, we can meet their needs more easily and support the marketing of high quality fish products.
